Dr. Herman H. Hostetter came to Hershey in September 1924 at the personal invitation of Milton Hershey to supervise the new community hospital located in the former home of Fanny Hershey on Chocolate Avenue and serve as Mr. Hershey’s personal physician. An annex was built onto the original Health Center in 2008, the main building razed in 2009, and the new building opened in 2010.
