Alex Dissinger ’09

Alex Dissinger ’09 wanted to attend the U.S. Naval Academy for as long as he can remember. He came to Milton Hershey School in the 10th grade from Lebanon, Pa. As soon as he got to the school, he became involved in all of the extracurricular activities he could, including swimming, marching band, and the Student Government Association. He wanted to take full advantage of each and every activity because they were opportunities he did not have previously.

With the help of an intricate support network of MHS alumni and staff, Alex thrived and was a well-rounded student with a long list of achievements upon graduation. He applied to the U.S. Naval Academy which had always been his dream. He was accepted, and he credits the solid foundation of academics, along with the perseverance and determination which he established at Milton Hershey School for his success at one of the premier institutions of higher learning in the country.

Alex is currently in his first year of naval flight school in Pensacola, Florida.
