A webinar is an interactive info session hosted online. Zoom is the product we use to run our virtual events. It’s like Facetime or video chats, but is made for larger groups.
For MHS Virtual Open Houses, you can see/hear the presenter but they cannot see/hear you.
Yes. These are private events with MHS and prospective families only. Your contact information will not be shared. Zoom will not save your contact information unless you create an account.
For purposes of watching our Virtual Open House, no.
There are no costs to using Zoom as a webinar or meeting.
Yes, you can use your cell phone, tablet, or computer. On your cell phone, you will need to download the free app and create an account to use this option.
To watch the Milton Hershey School webinar, simply touch or click on the link provided (underlined and in blue) at the start time. Then, click the box that says “Open Zoom” to connect.
- On the bottom of the Zoom screen, click the box that says “Chat.”
- A box will appear; type your question in the box.
- Press enter and your comment will appear for all to see.
- The presenter will answer or address your questions out loud for the group.
