Milton Hershey School Students Excel at the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show
Milton Hershey School students proudly represented the school at the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show, showcasing their skills, dedication, and passion for agriculture at one of the nation’s largest indoor agricultural events. Competing alongside students from across the state, MHS participants demonstrated the values of responsibility, perseverance, and excellence fostered through the school’s agricultural education, Future Farmers of America, and 4-H programs.
Throughout the week-long event, students participated in competitive classes and showmanship events while representing MHS Agriculture and Environmental Education (AEE) on a statewide stage. The Farm Show also provided students with opportunities to engage with Pennsylvania’s broader agricultural community, gain insight into industry practices, and apply months of learning in a real-world, high-profile setting.
“The level of commitment our students showed throughout this project was incredible,” said Kate Hess, MHS Animal Center Coordinator. “They practiced weekly with their animals and took responsibility for every step of preparation—from washing to clipping—while consistently attending monthly 4H meetings to remain eligible. Their performance reflected not only their skills, but also their professionalism, responsibility, and outstanding work ethic.”
Participation in the Pennsylvania Farm Show offered students meaningful hands-on experiences that reinforced classroom learning and career readiness, while highlighting the lasting impact of MHS’s agricultural programming beyond campus.
