Milton Hershey School Seniors Honored as March 2020 Rotary Students of the Month

Milton Hershey School seniors Brianna Ferguson and Joshua Parra were recently selected as the March 2020 Rotary Students of the Month. They each received a certificate from the Rotary, are eligible for a scholarship, and were recognized at a special luncheon.

A portrait of Milton Hershey School senior Brianna.Brianna Ferguson is from Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania and came to Milton Hershey School as a sixth-grader in 2012. Brianna has flourished at the school through her academic achievements, leadership qualities, and efforts to serve the MHS community. Brianna currently volunteers as a student ambassador with the MHS Admissions Office and serves as a residential assistant in her Transitional Living building. She also spent her junior year in Argentina as a Rotary Exchange Student. Brianna participates in the Spanish National Honor Society and is active with the Rotary Club through Rotex. After graduating from Milton Hershey School, she plans to attend American University to study international relations and minor in a foreign language. She hopes to become a foreign service diplomat.

A portrait of Milton Hershey School senior, Joshua.Joshua Parra enrolled at Milton Hershey School in 2013 as a seventh-grader from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Josh challenges himself with a rigorous course load that includes multiple honors- and college-level courses. He is a part of the school’s varsity football and basketball teams. Because of his excellence on the field and court during his senior year, he has received multiple honors:

In the spring of 2018, Josh traveled to Thailand through Milton Hershey School Multicultural and Global Education program. Josh plans to attend Franklin & Marshall College or Gettysburg College to study business and finance.

Milton Hershey School partners with the Rotary Club of Hershey to create leadership and community service opportunities for MHS students.
