Milton Hershey School Celebrates End of Breakthrough Year

Students and staff at Milton Hershey School have been celebrating the Breakthrough school year as the community closes out the 2023-24 school year. The Class of 2024 also participated in several senior-only activities to help them reflect on their time at MHS.

On Wednesday, June 5, seniors celebrated their final day of classes with encouragement from MHS and Hershey Entertainment & Resorts staff on their walk to school.

After finishing their final class periods, seniors participated in a ceremony where they each received their class rings. The ceremony included remarks from MHS President Pete Gurt ’85.

During this event, seniors signed their classmates’ yearbooks and reminisced on their MHS experience.

On Thursday, June 6, the Class of 2024 enjoyed an afternoon at an arcade and traveled to the Philadelphia area for a riverboat cruise.

On the final day of the school year, the MHS campus was full of joy and pride. Elementary and Middle Divisions celebrated with Fourth and Eighth Grade Promotion Ceremonies, while seniors had an enchanting evening at prom in Founders Hall.

All students and staff are gearing up to celebrate the soon-to-be-graduates on Sunday, June 9, during the 90th Commencement Ceremony.
