Two Milton Hershey School Seniors Recognized as January Rotary Students of the Month

Congratulations to seniors Gabriella Lugo and Harrison Bonanny who were selected as the January 2019 Rotary Students of the Month. They each received a certificate from Rotary, will celebrate with a special luncheon, and are eligible for a scholarship.

Gabriella is senior class president and highly active in programs at Milton Hershey School, including being a member of Model UN, junior chapel leader, and a Year-Round Experiences camp counselor. She participated in Milton Hershey School’s Multicultural and Global Education program’s international trip to Thailand in the spring of 2018. Gabriella plans to attend Seton Hall University to study communications in the hopes of becoming a television producer.

Harrison is a member of the senior class caucus and works as a lifeguard at Milton Hershey School. He challenges himself academically by taking multiple honors and AP-level courses, and he is a National Honor Society member. Harrison also participates in varsity football, ice hockey, and track. In the summer of 2017, Harrison traveled to Italy and Greece to attend the Global Leadership Summit on The Future of Food in Milan, Italy as part of the school’s Multicultural and Global Education program. After graduating in June, he aspires to attend the University of Pennsylvania to study biochemistry and later dental school.

Milton Hershey School partners with the Rotary Club of Hershey to create leadership and community service opportunities for MHS students.

Please congratulate these seniors when you see them on campus!
