JD Sacharok ’08

JD Sacharok ’08 enrolled at Milton Hershey School when he was 7  years old. Eleven years later, Sacharok graduated with a solid understanding of how to persevere through challenges and take control of his future.

“The biggest takeaway I got [from MHS] was that I had to stop making excuses,” he said.

In 2008, he enrolled at Temple University and studied Film Media Arts and Broadcast Communications. Since graduating from college, he has achieved the Specialist (SPC) rank in the U.S. Army and serves as a visual information equipment operator and maintainer.

“Milton Hershey School prepared me overwhelmingly for a military career…I think I’m a better man for having gone to MHS,” Sacharok said. “Whenever I look back on my time at the school, I feel like it’s invaluable and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.”

Milton Hershey School does not discriminate in admissions or other programs and services on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, sex, religious creed or disability. Read important MHS policies on equal opportunity and diversity, equal employment opportunity, and more.
