MHS Students Recognized for Academic Excellence and Inducted into Honor Societies

On Tuesday, Nov. 13, 26 Milton Hershey School students were inducted into the National Spanish Honor Society and National Art Honor Society. The goal of honor societies is to recognize MHS students for their academic excellence and develop an interest in particular areas of study.

National Spanish Honor Society Inductees

In order to be inducted into the National Spanish Honor Society, students must have an overall grade average of 90 percent or above. Members of society demonstrate dedication and commitment to the Spanish program.

National Art Honor Society Inductees

Students inducted into the National Art Honor Society demonstrate advanced artistic skill and a commitment to academic excellence and the school’s Sacred Values. Students must maintain an overall grade average of an A, and agree to share their talents with the school and community over the course of their membership.

Milton Hershey School’s Visual and Performing Arts department offers students a wide variety of classes, activities, and performing groups in all of the arts. In addition, the department also includes the Clyde Stacks Art Museum, a modern learning and exhibition facility with rotating art shows.
