Official HERSHEY Trailer Debuts, Bringing MHS Founders’ Story to the Big Screen
The official trailer for HERSHEY has been released by Angel Studios, giving audiences a first look at the upcoming feature film inspired by the lives, vision, and enduring impact of Milton and Catherine Hershey through Milton Hershey School.
Set for theatrical release during Thanksgiving week, HERSHEY shares the story of a couple whose success was defined not only by what they built but also by how they chose to serve others. Through perseverance, purpose, and compassion, Milton and Catherine Hershey created a legacy that continues to impact lives more than a century later.
For the MHS community, this film is more than a look back at history. It is a chance for millions to be introduced to our founders’ vision and to better understand how that vision continues today. The movie tells a good story, but not the whole story. For more than 116 years, Milton and Catherine’s belief that every child deserves an opportunity to build a life of purpose, character, and contribution has lived on through MHS.
“Milton and Catherine Hershey’s story is one of vision, generosity, and enduring impact—but it doesn’t end with them,” said Peter G. Gurt ’85, president of Milton Hershey School. “Today, their legacy lives on through thousands of young people whose lives have been transformed—including my own—because two people chose to invest in something greater than themselves. This is a story many don’t yet know, and one we are proud—and eager—to share with the world.”
The trailer release reflects a collaborative effort among the Hershey entities, including Milton Hershey School, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, The Hershey Company, Hershey Trust Company, and The M.S. Hershey Foundation, to help share our shared founder’s story with authenticity, accuracy, and care.

Connecting the Movie to the Legacy Behind It
Launching alongside the trailer is HersheyLegacy.org, a shared destination that helps audiences explore the real story behind the film and the lasting impact of the Hersheys’ vision. Developed through collaboration among the Hershey entities, the site features historical timelines, then-and-now photos, archival trivia, and stories from across Hershey, Pa., connecting the film to the people, places, and purpose that have shaped the town and community for generations.
As audiences leave theaters this Thanksgiving, many may wonder what became of Milton and Catherine Hershey’s dream. The answer is found not in another scene, but in more than 12,000 graduates whose lives have been shaped by that promise and in the nearly 2,200 students living, learning, and preparing for meaningful futures today. It is found in the houseparents who nurture, the educators who teach, and every employee whose work helps fulfill a promise made more than a century ago.
That is the story Milton Hershey School has the privilege of telling, and the impact that matters most. Watch the official trailer and learn more about the lasting impact of Milton and Catherine Hershey at HersheyLegacy.org.
