Milton Hershey School Welcomes Parents/Sponsors for Fall Family Weekend

Over the weekend, Milton Hershey School hosted parents/sponsors from across the country for a three-day event to engage, equip, and empower them with tools and resources to best support their Spartan. Parents/sponsors joined their children in fall-themed activities such as a Family Fun Dinner, including arts and crafts, resource tables, food and camaraderie, and even karaoke.

On Friday, Oct. 28, parents/sponsors were invited to shadow their children throughout the school day and see firsthand what they are learning in the classroom. In the afternoon, Elementary Division students and staff dressed up for Halloween and participated in a costume parade and trick-or-treat night at their student homes.

The Visual and Performing Arts program offered a virtual Show and Tell presentation of each division’s programming and presented several in-person shows for parents/sponsors to enjoy. In Middle Division, student performers in fifth through eighth grade showcased their rendition of “Willabella Witch’s Last Spell,” and select choir, jazz band, and Spartan dancers performed fall favorites in Catherine Hall. In Senior Division, the drama cast and crew put on their fall play, “TRAP,” throughout the weekend for families of all ages to attend.

On Saturday afternoon, families were invited to have lunch at student homes and then attend the Transitional Living Fall Fest with pumpkin painting, corn hole, and more. The weekend ended with chapel services and brunch on Sunday.
