Milton Hershey School Recognizes Fourth- and Eighth-Grade Students at 2021 Virtual Promotion Ceremonies
On Friday, June 11, Milton Hershey School held Virtual Promotion Ceremonies for its fourth- and eighth-grade students who are preparing to move on to their next scholastic division at MHS.
The Fourth-Grade Virtual Promotion Ceremony featured all 107 students walking across the stage as they begin their next chapter in Middle Division next school year. In addition, the presentation shared student awards and special recognition of the MHS Class of 2029.
“We could not be more grateful to our students and their families for the tremendous sacrifice each has made over the past year,” said Tara Valoczki, MHS Elementary School Principal. “The amount of growth our students have made socially, emotionally, and academically this year will support their future endeavors.”
The Eighth-Grade Virtual Promotion Ceremony featured eighth-grade students walking across the stage as they embark on their journey to Senior Division next year. Middle Division teachers awarded students with excellence awards in math, reading, science, English, and social studies. Senior Division students provided advice to others in the Class of 2025 to take with them into the future.
“Our students demonstrated commitment to mission this school year, one of our MHS Sacred Values,” said Ryan Michael, MHS Middle School Principal. “Despite masks, social distancing, and fewer family visits, our students persevered. We are extremely proud of what they’ve accomplished and know their hard work and dedication will benefit them in Senior Division.”
