Milton Hershey School President Named to CPBJ 300 List of Influential Leaders

Milton Hershey School President Pete Gurt ’85 has been recognized as one of Central Pennsylvania’s most influential leaders by the Central Penn Business Journal (CPBJ). Gurt was included in the platform’s inaugural CPBJ 300, a recognition that highlights leaders in business, education, government, nonprofit organizations, and other sectors who hold positions of significant influence in the region.

The CPBJ 300 is a guide to Central Pennsylvania’s most impactful leaders, acknowledging professionals who help shape the area’s growth. CPBJ selected its honorees based on research and community recommendations, emphasizing leadership and influence.

Gurt has served as the president of MHS since 2014. During his tenure, MHS has expanded its reach and impact while continuing its mission of helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Gurt also serves as president of Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning, which provides no-cost early childhood education opportunities for qualifying children and families across the region.
