Milton Hershey School Students Donate Stockings to Soldier’s Angels

This holiday season, Milton Hershey School Senior Division students donated holiday stockings for heroes as part of Spartan Community OutReach (SCOR).

“We wanted to find a project for the holidays that many students could participate in and also remain physically-distanced,” said Megan Kopp, MHS Character Development Teacher and SCOR Advisor. “That’s when we found Soldier’s Angels—an organization that provides aid, comfort, and resources to the military, veterans, and their families.”

SCOR students packed 84 stockings in their student homes and Transitional Living (TL) buildings with items such as single-serving food items, games, socks, stress balls, and more. The stockings are currently in-transit to Soldier’s Angels and will be distributed to deployed soldiers or veterans’ homes for the holidays.

“We had an overwhelming response from our students who want to help others, especially during the holiday season,” Kopp said.
