MHS Senior Recognized for Positive Contributions in the Local Community

Milton Hershey School senior, Stanford Maison, was recently selected as the recipient of a prestigious “Youth—Our Future” award by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority’s Harrisburg, Pennsylvania chapter. Sigma Gamma Rho is dedicated to enhancing the local community through public service, leadership development, and education of youth.

After being nominated by MHS staff members, Stanford was recognized for his integrity and ability to make a positive difference in his community. Originally from New Brunswick, New Jersey, Stanford enrolled at MHS in seventh grade. During his high school years, Stanford has played basketball and football and has served as a member of the Executive Branch of the Student Government Association. He has also traveled to Ghana, London, and Thailand through Milton Hershey School’s Multicultural and Global Education program.

As a high school senior, Stanford plans to attend Georgetown University after graduation and pursue a degree in accounting and finance. He recently signed a letter of intent to play college football.
