MHS Middle Schoolers Recognized as Scholars of the Month

Seventh-grader Ajani Beckley and fifth-grader China McCrory have been recognized as Catherine Hall Scholars of the Month.

MHS teachers nominate students for this monthly award based on outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements, and for embodying the school’s Sacred Values: positive spirit, integrity, mutual respect and commitment to mission.

Ajani’s teachers recognize him for always coming to class prepared, organized, and with a smile on his face. He displays strong work ethic and embodies the MHS Sacred Values. Ajani has a 91 percent average in achievement and 94 percent in effort, and he has earned Scholastic Honor Roll as well as Effort and Conduct Honor Roll for both the first and second marking periods. Ajani serves as a seventh-grade Student Government Association representative and also plays basketball.

China is a conscientious student and comes to class with a smile on her face and is always prepared and ready to learn. She is always willing to help others around her and strives to get involved in everything she can. She is actively involved in Student Government Association and embraces all of the activities she gets to do in fifth grade. In class, she often asks higher-order thinking questions and is always seeking out ways to expand on her learning. China is constantly going above and beyond in all of her classes and has earned a 91.61 percent grade point average.

Please congratulate Ajani and China when you see them on campus!
