Milton Hershey School Honored Among Best Places to Work in PA

On Thursday, Nov. 29, Milton Hershey School was recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in PA for the fourth consecutive year.

During the program’s awards dinner in Lancaster, it was revealed the school earned a ranking of 21 in the large company category. A group of MHS staff members accepted the award on behalf of the school and all its dedicated employees.

“It’s an honor to be included among the best employers in the state,” said MHS President Pete Gurt ’85. “This is a reflection of our employees’ hard work and dedication to furthering our founders’ mission. We are humbled to be an organization where all of our employees play a role in creating life-changing opportunities for children through their everyday work.”

The awards program is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Central Penn Business Journal. The awards recognize companies across the state based on workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems, and demographics.
