Milton Hershey School Begins 12 Days of Christmas Celebration

Since Milton Hershey School was founded in 1909, the holiday season has always been a special time for the MHS family. This year, MHS is making the holidays even merrier with a “12 Days of Christmas” celebration presented by President Pete Gurt ’85 and his wife, Jane.

The 12 Days of Christmas kicked off on Saturday, Dec. 5, and will continue through Wednesday, Dec. 16. Each day, a new surprise activity or gift will be revealed to MHS students in their student home.

On the first day of Christmas…

Saturday, Dec. 5: MHS Grounds employees lit up campus for the holidays with tree displays at the entrances of Memorial Hall, Catherine Hall, and in the Alumni Memorial Grove.

On the second day of Christmas…

Sunday, Dec. 6: Student homes and Transitional Living (TL) buildings were treated to a special Christmas meal from the President’s Office.

On the third day of Christmas…

Monday, Dec. 7: Tonight, Santa and Mrs. Claus visit the Homestead at MHS along with Sparty to wish the MHS community a happy holiday.

Stay on the lookout for more holiday surprises to spread joy and cheer across campus. Follow along using the hashtag #HolidaysAtMHS on social media.
