Focus Fun Continues as Milton Hershey School Student Home Holds Two Parties in One

Remember the student home decoration contest during Opening of School festivities? Each of the contest winners—nine student homes and two Transitional Living (TL) buildings—recently celebrated their creativity with a well-deserved ice cream party provided by MHS Food Services.

But for one student home, the party was extra special. On Thursday, Sept. 10, student home Weiser enjoyed ice cream, whipped cream, hot fudge, sprinkles, cherries, and more—all as they celebrated the ninth birthday of third-grader, Chukwudifu Okechukwu. Chukwudifu partied with his housemates wearing a colorful hat, eating spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, and a custom birthday cake for dessert, plus lots and lots of ice cream.

Chukwudifu helped Weiser finish in first place among Elementary Division homes in the Our Future in Focus decoration contest. Student homes were invited to deck out their outdoor spaces with future-focused decorations.
