Milton Hershey School Seniors Honored as November 2021 Rotary Students of the Month
Milton Hershey School seniors Bobbie Kemoi and Kyle Russell were selected as the November 2021 Rotary Students of the Month. They each received a certificate from the Rotary Club of Hershey and are eligible for a scholarship.
Bobbie Kemoi is from Willow Street, Pennsylvania and enrolled at MHS in tenth grade. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Model U.N., and Student Government Association (SGA). In the community, Bobbie volunteers for Vacation Bible School and has worked or interned with the Youth Refugee Journalism Project and the Columbia University High School Summer Program. She has received Distinguished Honor Roll, English Language Arts Student of the Month, and received the kindness award as part of the school’s annual Girls Grace event. After high school, she plans to study biology or neuroscience in hopes of becoming a neuropsychologist.
When asked to share her response to being chosen as a Rotary Student of the Month, Bobbie expressed gratitude for the recognition.
Kyle Russell enrolled at Milton Hershey School in 2008 and is from Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. He is involved in MHS Investment Club, SGA, and varsity soccer. He is a recipient of the MHS Visionary Award and was named a CTE Student of the Month. Kyle also is a member of National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. He has interned at both the Hershey Trust Company and Milton Hershey School’s Finance department. After graduation, he plans to study economics to pursue a career in consulting or equity research.
Kyle shared, “I am genuinely honored to receive such a prestigious award. I would like to thank every faculty member who plays some type of role in my day-to-date life at MHS. They constantly give back to the community and helped transform me into the person I am today.”
Milton Hershey School partners with the Rotary Club of Hershey to create leadership and community service opportunities for MHS students.
