A Welcoming Community

As an MHS houseparent supervisor, Tanya Alfonso is part of a caring team that works diligently every day to ensure students living on campus feel supported and comfortable to be who they are. She advises the houseparents she oversees to create an open dialogue and establish a rapport with students’ parents/sponsors so they can address students’ unique needs and concerns.

Tanya embraces the opportunity to teach students to value each other’s differences and treat one another with love and compassion.
