This Christmas, Become the Light

By Pastor Will Ogle, MHS Director of Religious Programs

The Christmas message is simple, but powerful.

The Light of the World came into our broken world to endure all of the things that we endure. Jesus Christ traveled to this Earth to bring light into the darkness, to bring light where there was brokenness.

Jesus Christ invites us—not just at Christmastime but all of the time—to do the same. He wants us to bring light into the darkness.

Is the Light as bright as it could be? Is it as bright as it should be? We can blame the dark for being dark; we can fear the dark, we can complain about the dark—but it is a far better question to ask why the light isn’t as bright as it could be.

Christmas is about the Light of the World coming to Earth and then turning to His followers and saying you are the Light of the World.
