MHS is currently seeking a Student Health Services Systems Analyst to provide support to the Director, Student Health Systems, working closely with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to develop and modify clinical and business applications in the healthcare environment.   The Health Systems Analyst will ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards and will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting healthcare data.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in medical terminology, clinical healthcare environment, data analysis, and application development. Further, the role participates in the on-call rotation, which provides emergency technical support 7-day-a-week basis year-round.

This position is in Hershey, PA and is an in-person year-round role, with annual salary ranging from $57K to $76K annually. Pay is determined based on experience. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Clinical Informatics, Registered Nurse (RN) or similar major.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience with application support in Oracle Cerner Millenium (SYNCare), Dentrix, and Dolphin.  
  • Working knowledge of relational databases such as SQL, required.
  • Proficiency in SYNCare (Oracle Cerner Millenium) reporting and SSSR reporting, preferred.
  • Qvera and HL/7 (ADT) interface protocol knowledge, preferred.
  • Background in medical or other health-related fields for understanding of healthcare terminology.
  • Experience and knowledge of practices related to the system delivery of healthcare.
  • Understanding HIPAA, federal and state patient privacy laws and compliance with confidential information, especially electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and provide timely, effective, and professional end-user support.
  • Ability to write and maintain documentation regarding application use and maintain training materials.
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and web form development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to network, influence, collaborate and pro-actively communicate.
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal/public speaking, and technical writing.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models to students.
  • Candidates should be eager to actively engage with students.
