Founders Week 2025

Honoring the Vision That Started It All

On Nov. 15, 1909, Milton and Catherine Hershey signed the Deed of Trust, creating the Hershey Industrial School, now known as Milton Hershey School. Each year, during the week of November 15, we come together to celebrate their vision with special events that unite our community. See what happened during Founders Week below!

MHS Founders Feast

Founders Feast and Senior Pinning Ceremony

Founders Feast is a cherished tradition where students from every division come together for a Thanksgiving-style celebration—complete with turkey and all the classic fixings. Sunday evening featured inspiring speakers, heartfelt video messages, and staff volunteers who created an atmosphere of warmth, gratitude, and community.

Following the Founders Feast, the Class of 2026 received their senior class pins in a special ceremony. These pins encouraged seniors to finish the school year strong as they develop their postgraduate plans.

Founders Day Assembly and Tree Planting Ceremony

On Monday, Nov. 10, the MHS community gathered for a meaningful assembly to begin the week honoring Milton and Catherine Hershey. Students and alumni shared reflections celebrating the extraordinary gift our founders gave—a legacy that continues to transform lives and shape futures.

Following the assembly, the Class of 2026 planted a tree near Founders Hall, continuing an annual tradition that began with the Class of 1956. This symbolic gesture represents growth, resilience, and the lasting impact of each graduating class on the Milton Hershey School community.
