Milton Hershey School Houseparents impact children's lives.

Pursue a Career Worth Every Minute

Houseparents work with their spouses to teach children skills and values outside the classroom. It’s a unique role with countless benefits.

Why Become a Houseparent?

Milton Hershey School employs more than 200 houseparent couples that live on campus full time. Houseparent couples live in a private apartment connected to a student home where they care for a small group of students over several years. It’s an inclusive, diverse work community with special houseparent social events and trainings, and a built-in support system.

MHS offers a generous total compensation package of approximately $150,000, including housing, groceries, utilities, benefits, and a combined pre-tax salary of $84,000.
