Upstanding student athletes, fantastic competition

Milton Hershey School student athletes know what it means to be a Spartan. Whether they participate in competitive or intramural sports, our athletes display school pride and respect for the Spartan mascot by competing with courage, resilience, loyalty and determination.

Our athletic opportunities  help students find their interests and commit to their passion.  They also learn how to build lifelong friendships and  cooperate with a team that works toward a common goal.  Coaches motivate  athletes, encourage positive attitudes, and help them balance academics and sports.

With highly trained coaches, supportive staff, and world-class facilities, MHS Spartans have the tools they need to succeed in the field, on the court, at the rink, or on the track.

Intramurals/Recreational Sports

Children participate in intramural team sports in the Elementary and Middle Divisions, such as basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, field hockey, swimming and diving, track and field, and wrestling.  The ultimate goal of the program is to give students a positive, constructive, and safe environment to have fun and develop student leadership and sportsmanship.

Students have many other activities to choose from as well. MHS has age-appropriate playgrounds, stocked fishing ponds, and safe areas where children can hike, bike, and skate. Student homes also are equipped with various recreational equipment for students to use.
