MHS is seeking dynamic, adaptable Elementary School Teachers to provide high‑quality classroom coverage for both short‑term and long‑term teacher absences within the Elementary School. This role ensures continuity of learning, maintains academic rigor, and supports the holistic development of students. At times, the position also includes co‑teaching responsibilities and providing supplementary instructional support based on student and school needs.
MHS teachers are deeply committed to helping students, many of whom enter below grade level, achieve strong academic growth. This requires extensive cross‑functional collaboration and a whole‑child approach that integrates academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development. Teachers also participate in additional duties beyond classroom instruction as part of the school’s comprehensive student‑support model.

Qualifications:
Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (required).
Teacher certification in Elementary Education (required).
Certifications in Math, Reading, or Special Education (preferred).
Instructional Expertise
Experience teaching with a literacy‑rich approach.
Demonstrated success in differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students.
Professional Skills
Proven success as a high‑performing member of a multidisciplinary team.
Exceptional organization, time‑management, and multi‑tasking abilities.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Engagement & Character
Coaching or extracurricular leadership experience (desired).
A willingness to be “all in”, actively engaging with students beyond the classroom and throughout the school day.
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students.
