MHS is seeking a part-time night shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join an amazing team in a diverse school/patient care setting to positively impact the lives of children & youth.  Our CNAs & CMAs assist the registered nurses to provide high quality health care to MHS students in a 40-bed Health Center and in the three school-based clinics. This includes providing direct patient/student care in school environment, assisting with admissions & discharge procedures, as well as transporting and accompanying the students to and from medical appointments off-campus including emergency room visits. 

The regular night shift is from 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. every other weekend Friday - Saturday and holidays on a rotation basis to support the department coverage. 

The PT CNA/CMA in this position works:Week 1 - night shift Weds, Thurs, Fri and SatWeek 2 - night shift  Weds and Thurs, and may work one other night shift in the 2 week period depending on the needs of the students.

Hourly pay rate: $17.22 to $22.99 (plus shift differential), pay is determined based on the experience. Part-time employees are eligible for a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program (EAP), free lunches when on duty, and Hershey area discounts.

Qualifications:

•    High School Diploma or equivalent required.•    Valid current certification from a state approved Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent required.•    Minimum of 1 year experience as certified nursing or medical assistant.•    Current CPR and First Aid certifications required.•    Valid PA driver’s license in good standing required.•    OSHA trained for blood-borne pathogens.•    Physically able to lift and assist injured students.•    Proficiency with Microsoft applications, databases, and office equipment.•    Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced work setting.•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.•    Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills.•    Experience working with or around children & youth preferred. •    Fluency in Spanish a plus•    Candidate should be willing to actively engage with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities. •    Candidate should demonstrate a high of integrity, as all MHS Staff are role models for MHS Students.
