Review the Program Area (PDF)Building Foundational Skills
The Construction/Carpentry program area builds foundational skills in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing—covering everything from framing to finishing a home. Students gain hands-on experience in all phases of construction and can explore welding, learning techniques in metalwork and fabrication. This program area prepares graduates for well-paying jobs in a growing industry, while equipping them with lifelong skills for home maintenance.

“There’s a sense of pride when you can see something that you personally did and made it your own unique way. Construction/Carpentry teaches you all the foundations you need to go into the industry.”
—Shatik Medina, MHS Student
