Phillipa Ashby ’89

Phillipa Ashby graduated from Milton Hershey School in 1989. She is currently AVP and Business Architect at AXIS in the greater Philadelphia area. She is a strategy focused business leader with experiences ranging from financial services, insurance, manufacturing, and non-profit institutions.

Previously, Phillipa served as general manager for the Office of Strategic Management for the Philadelphia Housing Authority, and she also has worked in leadership roles for various other organizations. She also was the director of client solutions for Marketing NVP, a consulting firm that specializes exclusively in determining the financial return from marketing investments. She then served as director of business consulting and strategy for Lincoln Financial Group, where she led the new internal consulting organization to serve as a change agent throughout the enterprise. She has also worked for Alchemi, Inc., General Electric Corp., Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corp., and The Vanguard Group.

Phillipa earned an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a B.A. in organizational behavior and management from Brown University, and a diploma in economic and political studies from Universiteit Antwerpen (University of Antwerp).

Phillipa was inducted into the MHS Spartan Hall of Fame in 2005 for her achievements in track and field as a student, and also received an Alumni Achievement Award in 2010.
