MHS is currently seeking a Wrestling Head Coach for a one-year ancillary position at Middle School (5th & 6th grade). The season runs from November to February with practices Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.-.6:00 p.m. Games are held weekday evenings. Off-season work is flexible and necessary for this position. The stipend amount is based on experience and working the entire season.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Driver’s license, in good standing, required.
Minimum of 3 years of successful coaching experience with demonstrated success in establishing a highly competitive program, while also instilling high-quality character.
Must have current knowledge of techniques, rules and regulations, and training theory of the sport.
Demonstrated ability to lead & inspire diverse youth. Experience working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds, preferred.
Demonstrated exceptional organizational and planning skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and lead a team of coaches.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate & influence in cross-functional settings.
Ability to build a network to facilitate new and creative opportunities.
Candidates must be eager to build the program & invest in student talent development year-round.
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students.
