MHS is seeking a Senior Administrative Secretary to support the team in the Elementary School, serving students from pre-K through 4th grade. The Senior Administrative Secretary provides administrative support to the principal and others in the building office. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations for the school and within the elementary division. This is a twelve-month on-site position that compensates between $22.53 - $29.81 an hour (based on years of experience), plus an excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities include
Managing complex and dynamic schedules and coordinating meetings.
Collaborating extensively within the elementary division.
Several Committees participation and support.
Ensuring timely and effective communication with staff, students, and external partners.
Preparing documentation including correspondence, reports, and presentations.
Maintaining databases and accurate record keeping.
Providing budget oversight and processing of financial transactions.
Handling special projects.
Providing other administrative support and contributing to continuous improvement to ensure the office operates efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 3 years of administrative experience including financial administrative responsibilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications and AI.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to engage well with staff, students and their families.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, including an ability to proactively anticipate and prepare.
Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and commitment to high-quality customer service.
A high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff serve as role models for students.
Candidates should be “all in” and eager to engage actively with students.
