Living and Working in Hershey
About the Town Built on Chocolate
Surrounded by some of America’s most productive dairy farms, Milton S. Hershey opened the world’s first modern chocolate factory here. He also created the “model town” for employees and their families to have an attractive place to live, work, and play. In the end, he built much more than a factory, school, and town—he built a community that continues to thrive.

Other Hershey Entities
MHS team members are part of an even larger extended “family” of Hershey entities. You’ll find that many of your neighbors in the area work for The Hershey Company, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, The Hershey Trust, and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In fact, each Hershey organization helps support MHS financially and offers valuable learning and networking opportunities for our students.
