Cooperative Education Program
After choosing from 12 career pathways in the Career and Technical Education Program, Milton Hershey School seniors have the opportunity to participate in the school’s Cooperative Education Program. Students are placed in a job of their chosen career field and gain professional experience in the workplace, building on the skills they learned in the classroom and receiving industry-recognized certifications in the process.
Seniors in the co-op program receive classroom instruction for part of the day and then enter the workforce for the rest of the day. They develop practical skills and hands-on experience in fields like carpentry, culinary arts, and automotive technology. The co-op experience may even lead to part-time employment during the summer, after school, or on weekends within the Hershey area.
