MHS is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee month-end, quarterly and annual close processes as well as annual audit support, tax form preparation, and enterprise financial systems. This role plays a critical role part in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strong decision support across the organization which is essential to the perpetuity of the school. It is an on-site position with salary between $81,000 - $108,000, depending on years of experience, plus an exceptional benefits package.
Responsibilities include:
Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes
Own financial accuracy, audits, and GAAP compliance
Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and fixed assets
Manage Form 990, NAIS reporting, and audit deliverables
Serve as SME for PeopleSoft (Financials & GL)
Partner across HR/Finance on system integration and reporting
Oversee cash management & banking activities
Provide leadership across accounting and shared services
Qualifications:
Bachelors in accounting/finance, CPA required.
8+ years of accounting experience with leadership scope.
Strong expertise in financial reporting, audits, and GAAP.
ERP experience required (PeopleSoft preferred).
Ability to drive process improvements in a complex environment.
Extraordinary accuracy with an ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including skills in advising and collaborating.
Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students.
Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students.
