Uncertain about Zoom, the online tool we use for info sessions? Get answers to common questions.
A webinar is an interactive info session hosted online. Zoom is the product we use to run our virtual events. It’s like Facetime or video chats, but is made for larger groups.
For MHS Online Information Sessions, you can see/hear the presenter but they cannot see/hear you.
Yes. These are private events with MHS and prospective employees only. Your contact information will not be shared. Zoom will not save your contact information unless you create an account.
For purposes of watching our Online Information Session, no.
There are no costs to using Zoom as a webinar or meeting.
Yes, you can use your cell phone, tablet, or computer. On your cell phone, you will need to download the free app and create an account to use this option.
To watch the Milton Hershey School webinar, simply touch or click on the link provided (underlined and in blue) at the start time. Then, click the box that says “Open Zoom” to connect.
Yes! Call the MHS Human Resources department for step-by-step instructions. They will be happy to walk you through the process of joining a webinar. Or, click here for more directions from Zoom.

Daily Life as a Houseparent
Houseparent couples live on the MHS campus in a private apartment connected to a student home. There you’ll care for eight to 12 students of the same gender and age range.
Becoming a full-time houseparent means building a life in the welcoming community of Hershey, Pennsylvania. You’ll find lots to discover when you live, work, and play in the town built on chocolate.
