Two MHS Seniors Honored as April Rotary Students of the Month
Milton Hershey School seniors Jamie Frank and Tykee Branch-Hamilton recently were selected as the April 2018 Rotary Students of the Month. They will each receive a certificate from Rotary, will be recognized at a special luncheon, and are eligible for a scholarship.
Jamie Frank is from Webster, New York and enrolled at MHS two years ago. Since her arrival, Jamie has flourished at the school through her academic achievements, leadership qualities, and efforts to serve the MHS community. She is a member of Student Government Association’s Senior Class Caucus, serves as a residential assistant in her Transitional Living apartment, and is a member of National Honor Society. Jamie also has participated in the school’s Multicultural and Global Education program by traveling to Thailand on an international trip. She plans to attend Ithaca College where she will join the school’s honors program and study biochemistry.
Tykee Branch-Hamilton is originally from Philadelphia and has been at MHS since eighth grade. Tykee has challenged himself with a rigorous courseload for the past few years, including two advanced placement classes, multiple honors-level courses, and three college-level courses through Lebanon Valley College. He has been involved in varsity football and baseball, National Honor Society, and Helping Hands peer tutoring group. During his senior year, he has served as a residential assistant in his Transitional Living apartment. Tykee plans to attend The Pennsylvania State University and study supply chain management with the hopes of decreasing global waste and eradicating global hunger.
Milton Hershey School partners with the Rotary Club of Hershey to create leadership and community service opportunities for MHS students.
Please congratulate these seniors when you see them on campus!
