MHS Sophomores Experience Hands-On Learning Through Job Shadow Day
On Friday, May 11, 60 Milton Hershey School 10th-grade students received a hands-on learning experience during a job shadow day held at The Hershey Lodge.
The exploratory day provides an opportunity for students to learn from professionals in their chosen Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway. This year, nearly 40 Hershey Entertainment & Resorts’ employees provided personalized, small-group shadowing experiences, where students learned how they can translate their skills and interests into a rewarding career.
“It’s an excellent opportunity to expose [students] to the hospitality industry … and expose them to different experiences,” said Donna Holloway, Director of Rooms at The Hershey Lodge.
Through Milton Hershey School’s CTE program, students begin exploring career options and developing career technical skills in 11 career pathways.
