MHS Senior Places Second at New Balance Indoor Track and Field Nationals

Over the weekend, three members of the Milton Hershey School track and field team participated in the New Balance Indoor Nationals Track and Field Championship in New York City.

Seniors Treyvon Ferguson, Rebecca Tarnve, and Jordan Winslow qualified to compete in Nationals based on their performance during the indoor track and field season.

Rebecca competed in the girls’ triple jump in the Emerging Elite division. Treyvon and Jordan both qualified to compete in the Championship division—Treyvon in the triple jump and Jordan in the high jump. The Championship division includes athletes from across the U.S. and Canada.

Treyvon placed second in the nation in the triple jump with a jump of 49-feet, 6 1/2-inches. His performance earned him All-American honors for the second time in his high school track and field career.

Congratulations to Treyvon, Rebecca, and Jordan!

The Spartans spring track season will begin on Thursday, March 22.   View the spring schedule.
