Milton Hershey School Releases the 2023-24 Annual Report

It was a Breakthrough year in Hershey, PA! The 2023-24 Brown and Gold Annual Report highlights how the Milton Hershey School community overcame real and perceived barriers, striving to become the best versions of themselves, just as our school year theme—Breakthrough—encouraged.

Reflecting on the 2023-24 school year, MHS President Pete Gurt ’85 said it “brought a heightened focus to our founders’ intent and vision for their home and school.” He further emphasized that “MHS got back to the basics outlined in our Deed of Trust by looking in, reaching out, rising up, and breaking through.”

In the report’s digital and downloadable print version, learn how the school community achieved a Breakthrough year. Highlights include the development of The Milton Hershey Way to prepare students for career and life success, the opening of the first Early Childhood Education Center for Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning in Hershey, and the election of Maria T. Kraus ’89 as the first female MHS graduate to serve as Chairman of the MHS Board of Managers and the Hershey Trust Company’s Board of Directors.
