MHS Girls’ Volleyball Team Secure Mid-Penn Colonial Division Championship

The Spartans girls’ volleyball team defeated the Steel-High Rollers for a 3-0 win Tuesday night in Copenhaver Center. The win secured the Spartans’ spot as the  2016 Mid-Penn Colonial Division champions. It is the first time the girls’ volleyball team has made it to the post season!

The Spartans girls' volleyball team defeated the Steel-High Rollers and secured the Spartans' spot as the 2016 Mid-Penn Colonial Division champions.

The championship “Dig Pink” game also was a special opportunity during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to increase awareness of the disease and raise money to help find a cure. The MHS community showed its support by attending the game and purchasing t-shirts, raffle tickets, and baked goods. All proceeds went to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer program.

The MHS Lady Spartans now face State College on  Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Mid-Penn playoffs.  The game will be at 1 p.m. at Chambersburg High School.
