Milton Hershey School Shines Guiding Lights for the Future

There was a luminous glow coming from Milton Hershey School this weekend as the residential school continued its Opening of School festivities. Continuing the theme of Our Future in Focus, student homes lined their walkways and driveways with luminaries as a symbol of the bright futures ahead.

The luminaries were distributed in the third surprise box sent to student homes and Transitional Living (TL) buildings on Thursday, Aug. 13. Each student was encouraged to decorate a luminary with messages for the upcoming 2020-21 school year.

MHS encouraged all student homes to light their walkways and driveways with these luminaries on Saturday, Aug. 15 to show unity and to light the path for even better days ahead. In total, there were more than 2,000 luminaries on campus shining one bright light for the future.
