Senior Hall South, adjacent to Senior Hall, welcomed ninth-grade students in August 2007. The school was developed around the concept of a small learning community; a school-within-a-school organized around interdisciplinary teams of English, math, science, and social studies. Incoming freshmen are connected to a select “team” of teachers and staff who will use research proven best instructional strategies to teach the curriculum as well as address their students’ needs more personally.

Ninth-grade students continue to be enrolled in Career/Technical Education, Visual & Performing Arts, world language, and wellness courses in separate buildings.
