Traveling to MHS
Traveling by car is the easiest form of transportation to Milton Hershey School for most families. Families can travel by train or bus to Harrisburg , and then take a taxi to the campus. Taxi fares average about $25 from Harrisburg.
Using a GPS? East Governor Road & Meadow Lane is often used to get you to main campus. Once you see the large white domed building along Route 322 (Governor Road), you’re there!
Going to Catherine Hall? This is on the other end of town. Use 300 Hotel Road. The building is across from Hersheypark (You can also just put in directions for Hersheypark- you’ll see Catherine Hall across the street on the hill)
At vacation time, the School makes arrangements with the bus and train transportation terminals in Harrisburg. Transportation costs are paid by the family.
Prior to traveling to the School, families should call the School to find out what, if any, transportation arrangements are available. Arrangements from Harrisburg will be made, upon request, for those parents/sponsors who have been requested by the School to come to our campus for a meeting or conference concerning their children.
To inquire about transportation for an initial family visit, please call the Admissions office at 1 (800) 322-3248 or (717) 520-2100, between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Eastern time.
