MHS is seeking a full-time Senior Systems Analyst to join the Information Technology Department. This role is an in-person position in Hershey, PA and pays $72,055 - $96,194, plus benefits.  This position is a member of the Systems Development Team and will provide support in the following areas:

  • Planning, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of software applications for computer-based application systems
  • Participate in or oversee a variety of technical projects that will provide new application systems or the enhancement and development of existing application systems
  • Design, support, maintain and secure any and all databases associated with School-wide applications


  • Conduct analysis, design, evaluation, modification, and testing of enterprise-wide application systems across functional areas
  • Create, evaluate and modify prototypes and data models to support evolving software application development
  • Diagnose, resolve, and document application issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and support where required
  • Assist with ensuring the availability of applications, configuring new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing functionality
  • Collaborate with various IT teams to implement projects and to solve cross-departmental technical challenges
  • Integrate and implement related application components, including front-end development, server-side development, and database integration
  • Establish and communicate standards to ensure continuity of applications and support application updates


  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems or Computer Science 
  • At least five years of experience in the IT field
  • Knowledge of database and systems management with strong SQL experience, SQL Server experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience supporting back office/ERP applications; Student Information System Experience a plus
  • Knowledge and experience developing and supporting SharePoint Modern and/or Power Platform (Apps/Automate/BI) a plus
  • Deep experience building/deploying web applications
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience creating and maintaining technology documentation 
  • Knowledge of document management systems (DMS) software and management a plus
  • Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) a plus
  • Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
  • Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are considered role models for students
