Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a part-time Medical Records Specialist/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA or CMA) to join the medical team. The professional coordinates, maintains and processes all medical record requests for the Student Health Services Department. Also, assists the school nurses providing high quality health care to MHS students in a 40-bed Health Center and in the 3 school-based clinics.  This includes assisting with admissions & discharge procedures of students, as well as transporting and accompanying students to and from medical appointments off-campus including emergency room visits.  The work schedule will not exceed 29 hours per week with flexible schedule, and the current need is Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm. MHS offers competitive pay, free lunchs and discounts in the Hershey area, but part-time employees do not receive medical benefits.


  • Vocational or other technical school, certification, training or apprenticeship required beyond High School Diploma required.
  • Valid certification from a state approved Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training program required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with medical records management and medical terminology required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • OSHA trained for blood-borne pathogens. 
  • Valid PA driver’s license in good standing required.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record Training a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Office 365) and experience with Google and Apple a plus.  
  • Physically able to lift and assist injured students.
  • Experience working with a diverse population of students and adults preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and team environment in a fast pace and dynamic work setting.
  • Spanish skills a plus.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a high of integrity, as all MHS Staff are considered role models for MHS Students.
  • Candidates should be willing to actively engage with students beyond their job responsibilities.
