Milton Hershey School is seeking a Communications Coordinator to play an active and dynamic role within the Office of Communications and work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to produce digital content that embodies the exceptional brand of Milton Hershey School and raises awareness of our school’s mission.  In addition to competitive pay, full-time employees are eligible for an excellent benefits package that includes paid time off, medical, vision & dental insurance, and financial benefits.  Starting pay is in the range of $60,832-$81,211, pay is determined based on experience.  This is an on-site position located in Hershey, PA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and curate engaging content for MHS social media platforms—Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Work collaboratively with other managers on internal and external communication projects.
  • Handle competing/changing priorities with keen attention to detail and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist with special events, special projects, and various other initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field.
  • Passion for using social media as a tool to communicate. 
  • Proficient in the use of social media platforms, Microsoft applications, and web-based software applications. 
  • Project management skills, including experience planning events that support organization’s missions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and support team needs.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are considered role models for students.
  • Candidates should be eager to engage with students.
