MHS’s Alumni Relations team is seeking an Alumni Programs & Events Coordinator.  This position is responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of student, alumni, and other event programming and operational aspects of the William E. Dearden Alumni Campus.  This includes:

-Coordinates events for the Alumni Campus facilities & extensively supports other events such as Homecoming, Fellowship Weekend, etc. 

-Manages alumni volunteer programs including recognition & awards programs, special events, etc. 

-Provides oversight of the young graduate mentoring program & extensively collaborates with other staff on the Graduate Programs for Success (GPS) team.

-Provides oversight of the young graduate housing program. 

-Provides oversight of campus maintenance including capital requests & expenditures.    

-Provides Dearden Foundation Board support with young graduate aid between the Foundation Board & MHS. 

-Chairs & serves on internal task forces & committees as needed. 

-Periodically supervises an intern. 

-Special projects & other duties as needed.


-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

-At least 3 years of experience in a capacity entailing considerable knowledge of event management, administration, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

-Prior experience with fiscal oversight preferred. 

-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate, influence, & diplomatically resolve differences in viewpoints.   

-Demonstrated skills in guiding youth desired.

-Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to independently manage multiple competing priorities. 

-Demonstrated good judgement & confidentiality necessary. 

-Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications and website administration. 

-Availability to work some evenings and weekends as needed is essential to the role.  

-Candidates must be eager to engage with students and alumni. 

-Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are considered to be role models for students.
