MHS is seeking an Administrative Secretary for the School Social Work Team. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Student Health Services and collaborates extensively with other Administrative Secretaries  throughout MHS. Student Health Services & Social Work Services coordinate the development & delivery of the school’s student health services which include medical, dental, psychological, behavioral and social work services to support the success of MHS students. This position is located in the MHS’s Senior Division building which serves over 900 students from 9th through 12th grades.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Extensive calendaring & event coordination
  • Addressing urgent matters proactively & professionally
  • Extensive record-keeping, records retention protocols and upholding student and family confidentiality
  • Pro-actively communicating and collaborating with others within MHS and with key collaborators
  • Drafting & finalizing communications, presentations, meeting minutes and reports.
  • Ensuring timely & effective communication with staff, students, and other stakeholders
  • Coordinating, consolidating, and disseminating information on a pro-active basis
  • Processing financials and monitoring budgets
  • Providing miscellaneous administrative support such as phones, filing, ordering materials, data entry, etc.
  • Project management
  • Front office organization and greeter for students and visitors
  • Other duties as needed. 

Location: On-site in Hershey, PASchedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexibility required)Hourly Pay: $19.45 – $25.96 (commensurate with experience)Benefits: Comprehensive package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings with employer contribution, paid time off, wellness benefits, and free lunches.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelors preferred
  • At least 3 years of successful administrative support experience in a high-volume, fast-paced work setting.  Experience in a health care setting preferred
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft and Apple applications, as well as with databases
  • Experience with financial administration responsibilities desired
  • Exceptional ability to organize, multi-task, and prioritize competing responsibilities and deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High degree of detail and quality orientation, initiative, professionalism & good judgement, customer service orientation, and confidentiality required
  • Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students
  • Candidates must be eager to actively engage with students and their families/sponsors.
