Milton Hershey School is currently seeking a Developmental Assistant Basketball Coach responsible for assisting with the organization and administration of the 5th & 6th grade Basketball program, working to develop athletic skills. Qualified applicants should exhibit a commitment to high student achievement and support for all students in a diverse, multicultural environment. 

Practices are two evenings a week with one game on Saturday mornings, times will vary. 

Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS is a cost-free, home and school for over 2,000 pre-K through 12th grade students. Since its’ founding, the lives of more than 11,000 children from lower income and working-class families have been transformed through high-quality education and a positive, structured home life.  This position is located in Hershey, PA.



  • High School Diploma 

  • 1-3 years successful coaching experience

  • Must have current knowledge of techniques, rules and regulations, and training theory of basketball

  • Ability to interact with students of different age and skill levels in a positive and professional manner

  • Spanish fluency a plus

  • Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for MHS students

  • Candidates should be willing to actively engage with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilites
